Tsowa Island is situated in the Zambezi National Park, a 56 000 ha game reserve which is also a renowned birding hot spot of 400 different species and home to lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, sable and numerous antelope. Zambezi National Park stretches from the Victoria Falls approximately 50 km upstream. Tsowa Island, 1.5 km long and 400m wide has never been inhabited and is fringed by lush forests. Guests are accommodated in stretch Bedouin style tents with timber frames and sides on wooden decks situated under massive Jackalberry trees, overlooking the Zambezi River. The outside deck area, which is also in the cool forest, has a dining area flowing onto a sunken fire pit which overlooks the river. The main area is linked to the pool area which overlooks the river and is situated in a sunny spot. Easy access to explore Victoria falls on a day excursion.
