Dzimbabwe lodge is located in the town of Kariba, Zimbabwe. Kariba is in the Mashonaland West Province close to the Kariba Dam at the northwestern end of Lake Kariba, near the Zambian boarder. The town was established to accommodate workers who were constructing the Kariba Dam in the mid to late 1950’s. Kariba is 365km from Harare and shares a boarder with Zambia. Victoria Falls is accessible by plane (Air Zimbabwe) or overnight ferry (self-drive visitors) from Kariba.
We are a growing lodge with 21 rooms all en suite. With breathtaking views of Lake Kariba, which is a 5 minute walk away, our rooms offer the best accommodation in Kariba.
The lodge is in the heart of Kariba with fauna and flora all around. Guests can expect:

Hornbill Lodge is an intimate boutique lodge with panoramic views of Lake Kariba situated at the top of Mica Point, above the shores of Lake Kariba. It is a wonderful place to soak up the panoramic views of the Lake and relax under the shade of the indigenous trees in the lush garden and offers personalised service.
Small and intimate, the Lodge offers very comfortable accommodation for a maximum of 12 people in five individual rooms. A large chalet houses the bar, lounge and dining area.

Gache Gache lodge is situated in the eastern basin of Lake Kariba on the banks of the Gache Gache River. All nine chalets, and two tented rooms accommodate guests in a private & intimate way, near the tranquil river offering a private verandah iverlooking the pool and all ensuite
Kariba Safari Lodge is situated on a mountainside with sweeping views over the blue water and the islands in the eastern basin of the lake. The Lodges and Suites are distributed over 33 acres of forested hillside, sloping down to the lake shore and beach area. There is a sandy beach and a swimming cage in the lake with a diameter of 15 metres that allows you to swim directly in the lake without fear of crocodiles or hippos.As the lodges are positioned on a hill, please advise us in advance of any guests who may struggle with the steep inclines and we will book them into lodges close to the main reception area.
Nine open-fronted, en-suite lodges each have their own patio and offer broad views of the lake directly from your bed. Every lodge has twin beds that can be converted into king size doubles.
Eight suites with en-suite bathrooms and private patios offer sweeping views of the lake. Each suite can sleep 4 guests in king size double beds and on two Indian day beds.
All lodges and suites have ceiling fans, mosquito nets, mini bar and complimentary tea and coffee facilities.
